Marla Sweeney, and Garie Waltzer. These limited edition prints are available for $275 each (or $247.50 if you order online). All prints are matted and ready for framing or archival storage. Participate in our Fine Print Program and you will also receive a one-year complimentary subscription that includes all five annual issues of Contact Sheet.

All three of these limited edition photographs were made expressly for Light Work, and the generosity of each artist makes it possible for us to offer these original photographs to our subscribers at exceptionally low prices. We only have a limited number of prints available through this special offer. To ensure that you receive the print you want, we suggest placing your order without delay.
A limited number of prints from previous subscription programs remain available.

Platinum Editions
Our 2009 Platinum Editions category features an original signed, limited edition platinum print by Finnish-born artist Arno Rafael Minkkinen. During a career that has spanned the world and nearly four decades, Minkkinen has combined the beauty and purity of myriad landscapes with the infinite
flexibility of the human form.

Featuring himself as the main actor on the vast stage of nature, Minkkinen’s photographs bend,
twist, and immerse the body back into its primal settings. His masterful use of line, texture, and com-
position create isolated moments that reestablish a harmonious relationship between mankind and the
ground, water, and flora that feed and nurture its corporality and spirit. In images such as Paper, Scissor, Rock, Minkkinen and the exact locations of the exposures remain anonymous, making possible a global
expression of humanity’s eternal place in the organic order.
Born in Helsinki, Finland, Minkkinen received a BA in English from Wagner College, and an MFA in
Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design. His images have been exhibited worldwide. His
exhibition SAGA: The Journey of Arno Rafael Minkkinen: Thirty-five Years of Photographs is currently
on tour through Europe, Canada, and the United States. He has won many international awards, and
his work is included in over fifty permanent collections, including the Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris,
France; the Museum of Fine Arts Boston in Boston, MA; Musée de l’Élysée in Lausanne, Switzerland;
and Addison Gallery of American Art in Andover, MA, among many others. Minkkinen’s work can be
seen on his website at www.arnorafaelminkkinen.org.
The print is offered exclusively to Contact Sheet subscribers for $500 (or $450 if you order online). The edition was produced by renowned platinum printer Sal Lopes, and is printed on 100% rag paper.
